Beacon Hill is a neighborhood of Federal style row houses and is well known for its narrow, gas-lit streets, and quaint brick sidewalks. Today, Beacon Hill is regarded as one of the most desirable and expensive neighborhoods in Boston. In its close proximity to the state house, Beacon Hill has one of the most photographed streets in the city, Acorn Street, offering visitors a reminiscent ride back to colonial Boston.
